Page 2 of 4 | What You Need | Story Elements | You Must Work Out | Once You've Finished |

You'll need the following story elements. In case you have trouble thinking of your own, I have some examples to get you started. But I always encourage you to use your own ideas, if you have them.

  Story Elements
examples An idea – the premise, the basic thought around which the story will turn
examples A setting – a world for your story to take place in; it can be familiar, or wholly new
examples Characters – two or three, at least, to people your story
examples Aliens – (optional) strange and mysterious beings for your characters to encounter
examples Problem – something your characters want, need, must escape from, etc.
