Award Winners
Another good place to start is with novels that have won the fan-voted Hugo Award, or the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America's Nebula Award. Rather than try to keep the list updated myself, I'm going to send you to online lists that I hope will be more reliable!

Complete Nebula and Hugo Awards Lists

These lists include not just the winners, but also the many worthy nominees down through the years. They also include short fiction of various lengths.

The Hugo Award winners and finalists—voted by the members of the annual World Science Fiction Convention (readers, writers, editors, fans).

The Nebula Award winners and finalists—voted yearly by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA). You can also learn more about the award here.

Starting in 2006, SFWA will also present the Andre Norton Award for outstanding young adult novel. [More info]

Happy Reading!
